REDISCOVERING SPIRITUAL VALUE

In this volume, the articles are more pertinent to the author’s native land and Siamese Buddhism as well as Thai personalities. Althouht the book concentrates more on this country, its main theme is the rediscovery of spiritual values as an alternative to consumerism; hence the title of this volume. Sulak Sivaraksa had written that the Thai monarchy is taken more seriously – not to mention that he has again been charged with lese-majesty for the fourth time in 2008. He has also sued the Thai Prime Minister et al for confiscating his book, Three Quarters of a Century of Thai Democracy, Full of Obstacles. This book is for all readers who need moral courage to fight nonviolently for social justice, peace and environmental balance for at least the next seven generations.
